Every patient should have the opportunity to first know that this exists. Then, after research, to choose which type of radiation best suits their situation; the physician(s) should not make this very important decision without consulting the family.
We do not have any medical education whatsoever; however, we want to bring awareness about this topic in the hopes of informing others, giving families a chance to do their own research and make decisions regarding the different types of radiation before it is administered. Our message of awareness is to prevent other families from complete devastation.
We believe that our Mom would want people to know this invaluable information. When she left us she had no voice, and her three daughters became her voice. We will continue to be her voice and strive to create awareness for families and their loved ones stricken with brain cancer.
We believe this information can help others.
